I'm an artist


Is amazingtunes a record label?

amazingtunes.com is a social networking site dedicated to helping you discover and share unsigned music and showcase new artists.

The amazingtunes label runs parallel to the website and works exclusively with chosen artists in an online only format. The amazingtunes label cuts out the more prohibitive aspects of the traditional record industry like manufacturing and distribution so that we can, as a label, provide a royalty agreement that favours the artist.

Is amazingtunes free?

Yes, all the music is free to enjoy, unless you download and keep a song that has been set as purchasable.

I haven't received my activation email yet, where is it?

First check your junk mail folder, it could be safely tucked away in there. If not, try checking the spelling of your email address - a mistyped email address is the main reason people don't receive their activation email.

I've forgotten/lost my password. Can I get it back?

No, you'll have to reset your password by clicking here. You'll then need to give an email address so we can send you a link that will let you reset your password.

What are recommendations?

Once you've registered with amazingtunes you can tell us what songs you like and don't like. The more songs you rate, the more we know about your musical tastes. We can then recommend new music to you, based on your ratings. You'll find your personal recommendations at the top of the page. Remember - the more music you rate, the better your recommendations will be.

How do I create a playlist?

You can learn how to create a playlist and use other features by following the Help! tab.

What kind of files can I upload?

Currently amazingtunes only supports MP3's. However, we know quality is important so we've ensured that file size isn't an issue. The maximum file upload limit is 250MB and there are no limits to the number of songs you can upload.

How can I convert my songs into MP3's?

There are a number of programs that can convert audio files to MP3. A free and reliable program for both Windows and Mac users is iTunes.

What bit rate should I use to upload my tunes to amazingtunes?

There are no stipulations on bit rate with our player. We recommend the mp3's you upload are sampled at, or above, a bit rate of 128Kbps and a stereo frequency of 44.1 kHz. If you want to sell your songs you want them to be at their best.

What happens with the money after I've sold a track?

70% of revenue from all songs sold – after bank charges and taxes – will go straight to you. You'll receive payment thirty days after the end of each month either electronically or via a cheque from Amazing Media Group Ltd., provided the amount you are due is greater than £20 and Amazing Media Group Ltd. has been able to collect payment. Don't worry, we'll get in touch when you reach this point for a current address and preferred means of payment.

If I sell my tracks here can I still sell them anywhere else?

All the songs you upload remain your property; we promote them non-exclusively. You're free to upload the same songs elsewhere.

Can i upload cover versions/remixes of already released songs?

Unfortunately on amazingtunes our license does not support the uploading and consequent housing of any material of which the copyright is not owned by the user uploading that material. This includes samples, covers, remixes, artwork and any other form of creative offering [intellectual property], musical or otherwise, in which any aspect within is included where it is copyrighted material to which you do not own that copyright.
