NEON HIGHWIRE
http://www.neonhighwire.com
Three determined men from two countries with one goal: to make you dance like a grizzly bear on a Turkish hotplate. If it weren't for a series of happy coincidences involving stolen shoes, broken synthesisers and port, it may never have happened. A fusion of dirty electro and angular post-rock guitar soundscapes, their sound is strapped onto intricate structures with three part vocals that amplify and propel the songs to their irresistible climaxes. Formed in late 2008, Neon Highwire wander confused around the streets of London, forcing themselves upon the general public melodically and erotically with their musicianship; and their £5 haircuts. They've performed at 93 Feet East, The Old Blue Last and 333 amongst others, and are fast building a reputation for inhumanly energetic performances and an ability to get even the most hard line 'Standing Stillers' dancing their tits off. It's an electroplosion.
SIR YES SIR
Somewhere I have a recording of the Wedding Present playing 'Box Elder' by Pavement. So, I would wager, have SYS. Not that there is anything wrong with that, to quote Jerry Seinfeld. Sir Yes Sir ape their heroes right down to the check plaid shirts and yelped vocals. The guitars rattle along in a hundred mile an hour chime. There's nothing deep, nothing difficult, just good clean fun.
DOUBLE RAINBOW

Melodies soaked in reverb as gentle guitars weave across each others path leading to giant anthemic choruses highlighted by the desperate pleading voices holding it together just enough to leave a wake of devastation. Think of the best parts of Parts & Labor with a nod to the wall of noise shoegaze guitars with the passion of The Arcade Fire. If that doesn't excite you, you're probably already dead inside.
