GLOBAL BANDS URGED TO JOIN UNSIGNED MUSIC REVOLUTION

Global music acts, including many household names, are being urged to join a music revolution that is helping unsigned acts around the world.

Thousands of as yet unknown artists have uploaded fresh new music to amazingtunes.com since it went live last week.

Now established acts like Radiohead, Prince and the Charlatans are breaking their shackles tying them to a tired and tawdry record industry.

Although hailed as ‘iTunes unsigned’ – the site promises to be a haven for battered bands that want to break free and sell their music directly to the public.

“Get out while you still have some integrity – and a modicum of money!” said Paul Campbell – the man behind amazingtunes.com.

“The record industry bleeds most artists dry – before discarding them without a second thought.

amazingtunes.com was established to give unsigned acts a credible and vital way of getting their music heard and making some money in the process – but it has become obvious that some of the biggest names in the business need help too!

“It has taken us three years to get the technology up and running – and anyone can benefit from it – without paying a penny.” Said Paul.

Geordie Campbell, founder and CEO of the web community, believes that he has struck the right note for unsigned and established acts. He produced a number of hit TV and radio music programmes, including Channel 4’s Big World Café.

He has been a musician in his own right for several decades having been the youngest member of the Musician’s Union and done sessions for the BBC throughout his teens.

He currently plays drums in several bands and orchestras in his native north-east.

More than 3,000 artists representing a vast spectrum of styles and genres clamouring to have their talent recognised have uploaded tracks to the fair trade music site.

Several thousand people are registering to the site every day – and the international interest is growing by the hour.

They expose their wares to millions who can listen to it free online – and earn 70 percent of any download revenues when they are downloaded.
