ARTIST Box Of Goats
Box Of Goats play genre-hopping music. Think pop, with a dash of blues, rock and soul thrown in for good measure. Eclectic, both electric and acoustic. At the centre of this brew are Alistair McIntosh and Nick Blair. Alistair writes the songs, sings and plays guitar and multi-instrumentalist Nick plays bass, guitar and occasional piano. Lynne Blair lends her skills to backing vocals while Zander Blair, a guitar-genius at only 15 years old, plays lead guitar. Box Of Goats have been together two years, gigging in their home territory in and around York, UK
Influences: Like most people, too many to list comprehensively. But Steve Earle, Steve Forbert, The Doobie Brothers, Crowded House, The Beautiful South, Aztec Camera and, believe it or not, Motorhead come to mind.
