Written in Moffat Scotland 1990 after talking to some locals there (and in Fort William the day before) about worsening employment conditions at the time and the reasons why. I went to Moffat again in 2007. It's still there and I love the thin hotel and the sweet shop. Long may it be there. Me and Linda and my brother John send our regards.
