ARNIE G. Biography Arnie spent his youth growing up in the streets of Birmingham (UK). Chillin’ with his mates, Arnie became well known around Handsworth, Lozells and Newtown for his lyrical content, earning himself the title Arnie “Ghetto”. Looking back Arnie is thankful that life on the streets taught him his values, but feels that it was his home life that pushed him further into his career path. From leaving the womb, Arnie grew up listening to his mother’s dancehall tracks, before discovering his passion for hip hop. A few years later, at the young age of 11, Arnie started to put together rhymes. This became a good way of expressing his emotions. More serious about taking this up as a career, Arnie took his skills into a backstreet studio in Hockley, Birmingham. On reflection Arnie accepts that the tougher his personal life got, the harder his lyrical content became, finally through to producing his first track at the age of 15 years old, rightly named “Ain’t Ready For Me”. Taking a step back in time, Arnie took his lyrics back to the streets of Handsworth, performing live at major events including Marcus Gavey, Gifted and party in the park. Eager to prove himself, Arnie went on to receive a prestigious award at Shining Stars, earning himself a status as a reputable young rapper with some serious ambition. Arnie Continued to strive towards to his goal, becoming popular with the ladies as his CD’s were sold out after a live performance in Cornwall in front of 4000 people.
