Jay Staton

It all began some 29 years ago when I was forced to learn piano at the age of 3. I grew up listening to the Beatles, classic rock, and tons of classical, and eventually picked up the clarinet. I earned a scholarship to college on the clarinet which led to learning some sax, and performing in the jazz band on piano, guitar, tenor sax, and alto sax. I then became the lead guitarist in a punk/rock band which only lasted 2 years. Eventually I started playing the drums in another couple of bands and then gave it all up for the keyboard and GarageBand (the greatest tool on earth!).
