FAN BRACKET BOY
This might sound a bit of a w..k, but I'm a user generated content artist, which means I'm more than just one individual or real person. The eventual tracks will be made by a collective of artists who want me to make UGC mobile-phone clips, artwork and interactives of their soundscapes. This is not supposed to be spam or a promo, but I'm currently best known on the Australia site, www.wotnext.com.au under searches CHRIS SIMON (woops-what a giveaway!) and BRACKET BOYS and GIRLS in their Music section.
Influences: There are too many to list and I hate genre or 'soundslike' categorisation by the music industry for any artist..But here goes! These are the people that have really "shaped" my life in order of God importance onwards: Peter Gabriel from Red Dress-Fox Head days to Lamb and then about 4 Solo albums; David Bowie; John Lennon; the Artful Dodgers REWIND, just the song!; Basement Jaxx; Chemical Brothers; Ennio Morricone; Phil Simon; Gary Tibbs; Ron James; Roly Kerridge; Steve Bellis; DJ New Boy (AKA Mark Mc); DJ FOG (AKA Steve Maher)! Really-its just songs, melodies, beats and mashes! I like stuff that is familiar and familiarity breeds great content! I like stuff that seems original! Sometimes the familiar can have a strange absolute originality!
