ARTIST CiderBaby
CiderBaby was born in the summer of 2005 and are based in Brighton, East Sussex in the United Kingdom. CiderBaby have been writing music for over twenty five years in different genres under various guises and names. CiderBaby uses real acoustic and electronic instruments to produce their ideas. CiderBaby are enthusiastically open minded about other genres and eras of music and music history. CiderBaby also likes to work with other musicians even though they maybe complete strangers and from totally different musical backgrounds. It doesn’t matter, the aim is to create a collective of ideas that could work in unusual ways. Anyone who wishes to contact and collaborate with CiderBaby in the near future about this are more than welcome. CiderBaby are recording a new album and will upload it as soon as it’s ready. CiderBaby thinks that ideas are the most important part of the creative process.
Influences: I saw a man in a pub (bar) one night about two years ago and all he drank was pints and pints of cider. He had the most enormous protruding stomach I’ve ever seen. He looked nine months pregnant. I thought he’s feeding his ‘cider baby’ and that’s how the name stuck. My influences are a lot of electronic dance, pop, ambient electronica and classical music. Artists influences: Brian Eno, David Bowie, Buzzcocks,Talking Heads, David Byrne, Air, Pere Ubu, King Crimson, Aphex Twin, Morcheeba, Fad Gadget, Kraftwerk, Goldfrapp, BitMap, Artic Monkeys and many, many more.
