ARTIST Solar People
One of us has a rock background and the other a reggae background and when we found out we were both into soul and funk from the '70's we hit common ground. We find our music hard to categorize but I guess we're aiming for a retro sound and have been influenced by our past musical experiences, our favourite types of music and of course just everyday life and relationships.
Influences: Our musical influences include Roy Ayers, Steely Dan and lots of great funk and soul artists from the '70's. We've also been influenced by rock, reggae and jazz.
