Originally formed by 4 high school friends,Cut Glass Accent have been oficially in operation since 2002, beginning gigging in late 2003. The past 5 years have seen various marginal line up changes culminating in the current line up with the addition of ex View From Above/Hostage Rescue Team drummer Anthony Johnson. In the past few years Cut Glass Accent (often called Cut Glass or CGA)have played literally hundreds of gigs ranging from small, "pub on the corner" shows to larger support slots at Newcastle Carling Academy, and headline shows at Northumbria University. The band has also played at esteemed venues nationwide including Stone Rose Bar in York and The Warehouse in Swindon. Their self released debut although rough was well received, seeling in excess of 500 copies at retailers across the North East. Now that CGAs line-up has been confirmed they are currently putting the finishing touches to their eagerly awaited second album "This Statement is False" which is due for release with supporting tour in early 2009. Having a strong belief in showmanship and grabbing you from start to finish these guys live to play live music.
