Unsigned four piece Ellison have had an incredible couple of years. Aiming to capitalise on their growing international fan-base, the band relocated to London from Australia in 2006 to pursue greater opportunity and exposure. With extensive touring in 2007, Ellison has played over 150 gigs from Newquay to Edinburgh. Since the bands conception in 2004, they have played many gigs and festivals in Australia, supporting some of the country’s biggest names. Now, with a strong catalogue of material, a polished live performance and new music to promote, Ellison are firmly placed to have considerable success in the ever competitive UK music Industry. James List (vocals) and Ian Smith (guitar) formed a song-writing partnership 9 years ago through a common bond. “When everyone at school was listening to Nirvana and Pearl Jam, we were listening to the Beatles and CCR”. From those humble beginnings they have always conveyed their passion for great melody, lyrics and diverse sound-scapes through an emotional and inspiring delivery of their unique brand of rock-poetry. Having now released two independent EP’s they continue to develop their sound and performance receiving wide acclaim in their home country of Australia and abroad.
