Exiles

We just used to call ourselves Paul and Keith but when we got our first pub gig, the landlord asked what we were called and it was the first name I could think of. But then again, we are all exiles from somewhere. Exiles are: Keith: whistle, bodhran and vocals. Paul : acoustic guitar and vocals. We have been playing together since 2004 in folk clubs and pubs in County Durham and North Yorkshire. The core of our music is Irish but the set includes our own songs and tunes and some contemporary material. Irish music is our greatest influence.We are drawn to its contradictions, the exuberance and the melancholy.
