Hi, I am a songwriter from the UK, based near London. Having played in a band for over 10 years, I felt it was time to hang up my drum sticks. So, for the last 3 years I have been working in my studio, creating a number of new songs/lyrics and producing those ideas into 'finished' pieces. Though as Quincy reportedly said 'it's not that they are ever finished, they are just abandoned!' I find it rewarding to write in many genres, so the songs range from jazz ballads to pop/rock, from chillout to MOR radio-friendly. In 2006,the song 'People' was highly commended in a USA songwriting competition, and made the semis in the UK equivalent. I have recently received contracts from two publishing companies in the USA for a total of 12 songs. However sometimes you have to hold out for the right contract! In 2007, I made the finals of the Unisong Competition, with 'There's More To Life', and 6 further songs made the semis in the UK Songwriting Competition.
