I was born in Suffolk and lived just outside Ipswich until I went to Durham University to study a Modern Languages degree. I spent a year abroad in Tuscany and Monaco and this was where I really began to enjoy songwriting - I missed my piano to pieces and my guitar became my best friend!! While not busy studying (?!) I regularly performed at Durham's 'Jam Night' and played guitar, piano and sang backing vocals with premier student covers band, Cheesecake. At home in Suffolk, I have played at local acoustic nights, in particular Suffolk Songwriters. Here I met BBC Radio Suffolk's Stephen Foster who subsequently invited me into the studio to perform on his drivetime show. Soon after he introduced me to Pat Grueber at Gemini Studios in Ipswich where we began working on my debut album, Till Angels Fall, with a little help from some great local musicians including Jools Holland's guitarist, Mark Flanagan. I released the album at the beginning of July and now I am playing live as much as possible...
