Headstate 68

Abstract Ambient Techno Trance. Originally founded in 1996, under the name XIMIX, I produced many high energy techno tracks, but they were never released. I just gigged my tunes, the best being Glastonbury, North field with the Rainbow Tribe in 1997. From 1998 I ventured out of the techno scene altogether to pursue other options, just writing the odd track. I returned in 2006 to composing and producing, but this time with a slower tempo, layered guitaring, subtle abstract dubs and a new identity. I have released my second album "Urban station" to follow up "Bring on the din" and the tracks of both of these albums can be reviewed and downloaded seperately on this web site. Thank you for your support, HEADSTATE 68.

Influences: From Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix, through Orbital and The Future Sound of London, to Dreadzone, The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers, System 7 and Eat Static. All of these artists have to some degree influenced my musical style, which I try to compliment, not emulate, ergo, my unorthodox and unique melodic approach to my art and craftwork.
