Here's a guy who can turn his piano hands to almost anything, from teaching to competing, hence the photo. A verstatile musician and producer who definitely does his own thing and is not stuck in any one groove. He plays classical, contemporary music, techno versions, has a great ock and roll number and an even better outstanding bossa nova latin song. You name it he can do it. Check out his first solo album that consisted of his more easy listening style instrumentals, all songs that can be performed live, as and when required. James is a true songwriter in his own right, performing his work already to hundreds of people on cruise ships. He's not on the radio in the UK because he does not fit any particular category, when did you last hear Radio Two play an instrumental ? A winner of some variety shows during the late 90's james went on to manage himself, producing his own work on Cd's, but would love to find an honest publisher/distributor out there, to take it to the world as it's the Yanks that love his more melodic style of writing the most. The demo track on this site 'MTT intro 1.01' is just an indication of how he can convert one of his own classical contemporary pieces into a techno dance track. It actually lasts 6 mins, but this is just the opener. Its a splendid piece mixing the styles of a Clayderman with an Oldfield with a JM Jarre. For more info see his website at www jamescatton com. James is currently available for both writing and performing assignments.
