From 1999 to 2006 he fronted London based rock band “Last Year's Fashion”, gaining plenty of live experience touring the UK's pubs and clubs, but ultimately found the ‘straight ahead’ rock music unsatisfying and wanted to expand his horizons & explore new avenues in his songwriting. Over the last two years James has enjoyed working with young duo “Angus & Julia Stone” touring Europe & Australia aswell as playing on their second E.P “Heart Full of Wine”. You may also come across him playing a wide variety of instruments with the Alternative Americana outfit “Puffinboy”, both live and on their debut album “The Legend of Puffinboy”. During 2008 James played various solo acoustic shows whilst looking for musicians to play with. He is now joined by rhythm section, Rob Pennel & Tom Quillfeldt. The new line up & song arrangments have been very popular with audiences so far this year. James released his first E.P "Live at the Wilmington Arms" in June 2009. He is currently gigging around and preparing for a forthcoming studio release. Watch this space for future developments!
