'I've been on the music thing for nearly three years but had breaks inbetween. I started off writing lyrics and rapping with more of an American sound .Then after hearing mc s like Dizzee Rascal i changed my flow and sounded English. I battled a few people and won.It seemed everbody wanted to be a rapper. People encouraged me to continue doing it after hearing me and my CD. My Lyrics range from girlie love songs or life songs.' - Glitz on his career so far. Glitz is a young up and coming rapper and mc who comes straight out of the Grime home of East London.Influenced by garage artists like So Solid Crew he took an interest in UK music. However it was Dizzee Rascal who really influenced Glitz to pick up the mic.' I mean, Dizzee showed me that someone could make it in the UK' recalls Glitz.So after a while he started writing lyrics. Connexions provided him with an opportunity to make a CD. A track had already been recorded when he came to the studio ,luckily he was allowed to feature on the remix. One of the producers took an interest in him and spent a few days trying to build the perfect beat for him. Once that was done Glitz spat the first verse, chorus well and could not come up with a second verse. The producer said ' Go on do a freestyle, i've seen you do it back there' So Glitz freestyle his second verse. Once the track was burnt he played it to family and friends. It was popular with most people liking it. This gave Glitz his first boost. Glitz spent some time a college studing Business. He had difficulties finding a studio. However in the summer of 2006 Glitz making a few more songs. Put them onto his myspace. Currently he is working on his debut mix cd ' A Touch of Glitz' .
