Darke Horse have only been together for under a year after forming in Sheffield in 2007 after friends Simon Kaviani, Chris Gill and Joe Pearson vowed to bring entertaining rock back into the mainstream. With the recruitment of drummer Mark Millington, the line up was complete. Despite only being together for a short period of time, they are already starting to make an impression. Their first review in January 2008's edition of Sandman, describes Darke Horse's demo as a 'barnstorming effort from the Sheffield foursome...everything about this swaggering behemoth oozes confidence...an entertaining and promising piece of rock ānā roll.' BBC Radio on their 'Raw Talent' programme told listeners that Darke Horse could be one of the bands to break through big in 2008 before closing the show with track 'Flat Screen Suicide'.
