A taste of lo-fi, alternative country music. This is what i consider to be Americana from the UK. Inspired by Bonnie Prince Billy, this tune was recorded with just a few mics at home with lyrics about being wanted and recognised by a partner. Its up-tempo, bouncy and carries a positive message. Much like Bruce Springsteen's style of writing, it touches on wanting to break free from where you are. A kinda "Lets run away and escape from this town" feel to it. " and now, we take to the wind on this shattered old boat that we could live in" being one of the lines in the tune. I'm sure this is a track that will be liked by fans of M. Ward, Bruce Springsteen, Bonnie Prince Billy, Gillian Welch and many other artists of style.
