Time spent on songs that could be characterized as materialistic or misogynistic is a waste of investment, unfortunately there seems to be a recurrence of this kind of "bad investment" in today's hip hop music scene, well fear not "K2 NOMII" is here to try to change all that. Born in UK, raised in Nigeria, "K2 NOMII" is gradually developing his profile on the UK hip hop scene as a prolific producer, lyricist & artist. He currently lives in London, owns and runs an independent record label "Grand Scheme Records" through which his debut album, "Adapt & Evolve" was released. A graduate in accounting & business finance who didn't really know what career path he wanted to choose until a few years ago; however songs from artists such as the late Tupac Shakur (r.i.p), Dr Dre, Notorious B.I.G (r.i.p), Nas, Jay-z, Busta rhymes, Snoop Dogg, Mobb Deep, Eminem & Wu-tang clan helped fuel a burning secret desire to be part of the current global phenomenon that is hip hop. "K2 NOMII", a resilient "one man army", who, amongst other things, produces, writes & performs his own original songs, has been characterized as "a breath of fresh air" in the UK hip hop scene, he is currently promoting his debut album through various avenues including open mic nights, impromptu gigs & local events such as the spice festival, whilst continuously working on new material. It would seem that the aim is to help elevate the current level of UK hip hop, but more importantly to prove that hip hop music need not be materialistic, violent or negative to be successful following in the path laid out by his peers in the industry all those years ago. With his debut album "Adapt & Evolve", K2 NOMII touches on subjects such as vanity in ''Nightmares'', the global state of affairs in ''Doomsday'', local issues such as teenage gun crimes in ''Grimreaper'' & ''Peer Pressure'' to name but a few. The creative process sometimes requires the use of existing samples however this album seems to lack the use of any samples, a wise decision, perhaps, perhaps not, only time will tell. However one thing is certain, with this sort of drive, ambition and determination, the benchmark can only be raised further and further.
