The Ribbon Device started early 2004, when Melbourne based song writer Mat Creedon (vox & guitar) teamed up with Bar McKinnon (keys & woodwinds) of Mr Bungle & Secret Chiefs 3 fame. After touring the world with Mr Bungle & Secret Chiefs 3, Bar McKinnon settled in Melbourne to concentrate on his own music with half brother Mat Creedon. With much to do and little time to waste, they recruited long standing partners in crime Pat Moore (drums), and Mimmo Panunzio (bass).
