I'm 34 going on 35 and love music. I love hearing new music and also old music done in new ways. I think music's good for the soul and everyone should have a chance to play/sing and be listened to. I'm not really in a band, i play music for fun and it gives me a nice release of creativity every now and again. Most of my songs seem a little sad in reflection now but I'm strill quite proud of them. I would rather write the music and lyrics rather than actually play them...there are far better musicians out there than me!
Influences: I really like some of the newer bands that have sprung up in the UK this past year or 2, and that includes the singer/songwriters such as James Morrison, Paolo Nutini, Catherine Feeney etc. They should be heard as they are certainly the way music's going. I love Muse, they are probably one of the best bands to see live...absolutely amazing. I think that I always wanted to play rock guitar after hearing the likes of Van Halen, Bon Jovi and even Europe! I've just been listening to 'Handbuilt by Robots' by Newton Faulkner and it's one of the best albums that I've heard in a long time, nearly every song is a winner. I think the last time I felt like this about an album was when I first heard 'Hot Fuss' by the Killers. Now that was a good album!
