Originally a bass player, Nick started his career in the early 1990s playing with many different bands including Russians, The Red Stripe Jazz Band and Caroline Hilton. He started playing his solo 12-string acoustic set in small venues all over London in 1999 as well as collaborating with eclectic trio Drunk on Logic. In 2001, he established, wrote the music and fronted the funk band People, gigging all over London and the South East playing venues such as the Forum, Sound, the Garage, the Mean Fiddler, West One Four, the Spice of Life, the Arts Cafe and the Kashmir Klub, also making an appearance at the BBC Radio 2 music festival in Cardiff.
Influences: "Sting had a conversation with Van Morrison about Jimi Page's 12-string guitar playing. They wondered what would happen if they all birthed a child, force fed it Jaco Pastorius and gave him a four octave vocal range."
