ARTIST Outfit Faux

"Still what you would term a new band, Outfit Faux is making strong inroads with their electronic tinged sounds." (Rolling Stone Magazine) Outfit Faux is a dynamic guitar driven three-piece whose performances have been described as "Spectacular" (X-Press Magazine) and "Anthemic" (TNT Magazine). Their sound although hard to define has perhaps best been described as "Like Radiohead, but in a good way." (The Underground) Despite the band's relatively short history, Outfit Faux's progress has been marked by some considerable success. 2004 • Debuted at Australia's 'Next Big Thing Competition' finishing first ahead of over 150 artists. • First release 'Safe' selected to appear on WAMi (West Australian Music Industry) compilation CD. 2005 • Selected to perform at Australia's largest Rock festival 'The Big Day Out' alongside The Streets, Slipknot, The Beastie Boys and other premier artists. • Received national Australian airplay with first official release 'Pieces' • 'Pieces' also selected to appear on WAMi 2005 compilation CD 2006 • Awarded ArtsWA production grant for 'We the People' release. • Invited to perform at premier UK industry event 'In the City Manchester 2006' Outfit Faux relocated permanently to the UK in October 2006. Since then the band has been performing regularly in the London area.
