ARTIST Valley Arc

Hi Folks.
Welcome to the Valley Arc site.

Valley Arc are Patrick Gabriel Doyle and Caroline McAulay.
With occasional guests.

The music and song we play is all original apart from the occasional version of classic Trad/Folk tunes, one of which is on here - 'Dark Island'.

The name, Valley Arc, comes from an acronym of Garnock Valley Arts Resource Centre which was an arts centre based in the town(?) of Glengarnock. It was a fun and creative place to be and some of the songs we play were born there.

We took on the name because it seems to speak of scenery, views, light, rainbows, stars, walks, horizons. . .you know the kind of thing.
The wee blue hut was home for a number of years - in the middle of a wide, green field - I think it is all-but gone, however vestiges may be discovered on the outskirts of Lochwinnoch - one for the archeologists. . .or should that be arc-eologolists!

Now. . .there's live music and there's recorded music.
On this site you'll hear some multi-track jiggery-pokery to do with whistles, guitars, keyboards, percussion and other noise making implements and there's Pat and Caroline on vox, because when you're listening to recordings you want that bit more depth, but don't let this fool you, when we are up there on-stage with just an acoustic and a couple of vocals we can still blow the hairs on the back of your neck off and make your socks stand on end!
