ARTIST Reign.Broke.Better

Reign.Broke.Better, a South-London based four-piece of 23/24 year-olds do things a little differently. Combining a plethora of styles including rock, blues-rock, funk, ska, rap and Drum n Bass, with an exciting original edge. Born in November 2007 when singer (Alex), guitarist (Henry) and drummer (Ru), all formerly of the London based group Bareface (Ganz management) went to see a band who were playing standard, generic indie tunes and decided they could, ney, MUST start creating music together again and bring rock back to the masses. The band jumped straight into Rogue Studios in Bermondsey where they had a long-time working relationship with lesser-known gem of a producer Conan Avery (www.myspace.com/conanavery). They cut 3 tracks: Hang Your Head, The Further and Tools Of Our Troubled time. The next step was to recruit the 4th member. The boys looked no further than long-time friend, and musical heavyweight in Matt Hitchens. A performer of session musician quality in his own right - he took to the role effortlessly becomng a fully-fledged muthaplukka. Individually the boys are no rookies, each with many years experience behind them. Ru is a skilled versatile drummer. He is a highly gifted all round musician fluent in several instruments including viola (Grade 8) with venues such as the Royal Albert Hall under his belt (do not let this fool you - this guy can party!). Ru is an incredible drummer whose performance is second to none. Henry is a brilliant guiarist who can rock, and has rocked, with the best of them. With stints filling rhythm and lead roles, he has combined the two to deliver creative melodies that excite and inspire as well as providing some solid backing vocals. Matt is a talented bassist whose complex, and briliantly original, riffs drive the group from the low end. Matt is a true one man band phenomenon, having recorded each instrument himself on his former solo project. Great bass lines and killer backing vocals - no pressure! Alex is a remarkable lyricist & a formidable performer. He sings and raps his way through his diverse thought provoking material, weaving a wide range of styles into a tapestry that is original yet relatable. Live, Alex delivers an exciting performace brimming with verve and energy. Inspired by artists such as Aerosmith, The Living End, Metallica, Deftones, Green Day, Guns N Roses, Dropkick Murphy's, Rancid and others such as Nas, Randy Newman, The Streets and Stevie Wonder. 2008 looks extremely promising for Reign.Broke.Better!
