Our good friend John wrote this: WELL Seedhouse have been playing since the Spring 2005. It started with a practise which was arranged by Cal (Rhythm Guitar) who invited along Jay (Lead Guitar + Lead Vocals) to play with the other two band members Tom (Bass + Backing Vocals) and Al (Drums). The band were just generally jamming, and really enjoyed playing together hence the formation of what is known as now as Seedhouse They starting playing a number of covers, influenced mainly by mainstream punk/rock before starting to move on into the Summer of 2005 and a more mature sound. In the Summer of 05, the band continued practising, starting to write songs including, "Autumn Leaf" and "Tragic Incident". Then in September 2005 they got the chance to play with a band in the Hotel California. With the opportunity to show their new material, Seedhouse took centre stage, encouraging the crowd in the venue to get up and have some fun. With a set including "I'm Not Ok", surely a song that Seedhouse have made their own mark on, "Tragic Incident" and "Autumn Leaf" they were certainly on their way to obtaining a well needed fan base. After the gig, they continued to make a EP in October 2005 produced "Autumn Leaf" with the help of Whitby Studios. With an increasing interest in songs, Seedhouse continued to move along at a steady pace picking up different fans from their new material. With a growing number of fans Seedhouse decided to put on a gig of their own, arranging for early December 05 at the ESWA Social Club, this deemed to be the first rocking of the boat. After a gig full of controversy, a few days later Jay decided to leave the band, looking towards playing in a different band within a different music genre. From early 2006 Seedhouse ceased to exist. Until finally Jay and Tom who had not spoken since the break up decided to start talk, they both came up with the idea of playing at Birkenhead Sixth Form College "Battle of the Bands" which proved to be the the reformation of Seedhouse. Unfortunately, this was minus one member, Cal who decided that he wanted to try new things. The "Battle of the Bands" seemed to be the break through that Seedhouse needed. Through a band asking them to support, Seedhouse got their first opportunity to play at Barfly - Liverpool. The Barfly proved to be the turning point for them, getting over 60 people into the venue, and performing some of there newly written tracks including "Bit by Bit" and "Regrets". From the Barfly (and 60 richer) they were asked to play in The Cavens "Battle of the Bands", which they gladly took the opportunity to perform in. Taking it in their stride performing a great set and their first pit to "Tragic Incident", and a rocking solo from Al on the Drums I dont think I've seen a bigger smile on Jay, Tom and Al's Face. Subsequently, in the midst of all the opportunities another twist occurred, with Jay and Cal discussing what they both wanted for the band. When realising these were completely they same things, they both agreed that the 3rd guitarist and Cal's presence was essential for the band to be as good as they could possibly be. In March 2006 Seedhouse were officially a 4 piece band once again, and went on to Record thier 2nd EP, which has yet to be named. This includes songs such as "Bit by Bit" which has prove to be a particular hit with certain women, with Seedhouse proving that they can play just as melodic as they can heavy, using the full vocal usage of Jay's voice and talents of the band. During March, Seedhouse acquired a Manager, Jon, a friend of the band, who has always taken a firm interest in the band and is now helping set up future gigs and helping Seedhouse keep on going up. Meanwhile, again in March 05, Jay Bennet and Jon have began to get a Seedhouse StreetTeam. With the band stronger than ever, they are continuing to write songs in order to blow away their fans in up and coming gigs, with many surprises up their sleeves p
