islington the 29th of january 1984 dj rawson was born.he was always into his music ever since he got behind a pair of decks aged 11.he used to sneak into his brothers room and use his decks while he was at work! he mastered the basics of mixing records and some light scratching age 13,using odd beltdrive decks with sometimes a pound coin on top of the needle for more weight!!!!! he got his technics 1200's when he was 18 and since then he has kept pushing the boundaries on the turntables from scratching to beat jugglin, to new levels,till present day.as far as producing goes,he made his first track when he was 16, on sony acid program.and learnt the basics of the program quite young.but after a while got quite limited to what the program can do,so he looked for a hardware sampler and copped his akai mpc 2000 sampler when he was 20 and has never looked back!....he started to dig through various loads of records,from his dads collection to his own,and many record stores,looking for them killer samples no one knows about!just a natural born sample digger! has got loads of hot beats to date and is going to be pressing some white lables soon ,so watch out for those!! he has done many dj sets in allsorts of funky venues mostly just scratching these days alongide the band he has been playing for(jacuti),its a funk/hip hop style band. with a jazz bass player,saxaphonist,keyboard player and vocalist also on the bongo's and of couse dj rawson scratching alongside them and providing some quality beats to get down to. at the moment he is still looking to do more collabs and more dj work with various artists eg,rappers,other producers,other scratch dj's other bands.and is also availible for studio sessions to provide people with some fine cuts and scratches! he is also looking for a slot on any stations.has played on a few internet shows before.styles consist of hip hop,drum n bass,funk,breaks,and his own beats and cuts.
