Ten Days

Ten Days originally formed from a group of four school friends who, tired of watching Irish dancing or listening to a Celine Dion rendition during assemblies, decided to form a band. After a year or so of writing songs and playing gigs at local schools they were now ready to start playing at live venues in and around Coventry. Brutally culling their old set to make room for new material such as The Yeti Song they played their first proper gig at the Jailhouse in 2003 getting a good response despite their young age. They continued this way, playing gigs at venues such as the Golden Cross and the Cottage and after experimenting with both amateur and professional recording they decided that they needed a solid demo if they were to broaden their horizons. Not wanting an over-produced sound they chose to use the low-key J-10 studio in Coventry where they recorded a three song demo entitled ?Controlled Heavy Mellowness? which contained a mix of old and new material. In the time since then Ten Days have continued playing gigs and expanding their repertoire like there was no tomorrow. With there best demo yet, recorded early 2006, attracting lots of attention including the release of ?EP1? on Matchbox Recordings and several offers from professional record companies, 2006 looks to be full of good things for Ten Days.
