Danceable, widescreen-indie pop trio Thieves In Suits are based in Edinburgh, and are one of the capitals newest groups having only formed late last year. Making their debut show at Edinburghs Liquid Rooms in Feb 2008, the band - Scott Longmuir(vox and guitars), Paul Barrett (Bass) and Jake Miller (Drums) , have been taking their adreneline infused four-to-the-floor live shows to venues throughout Scotland, playing club nights such as Dirty Hearts Club at Snafu in Aberdeen, Limbo at the Voodoo Rooms and Rip It Up at Cabaret Voltaire in Edinburgh, with the biggest show to date being the Scotcampus Freshers Festival at Glasgows George Square alongside the likes of Popup, Isoceles, Coolio and Attic Lights. The groups 5 track sampler E.P, Recorded in Glasgow with Ross Macgowan - the man behind Danananaykroyds Sissy Hits E.P, has received generous airplay and backing from Radio Ones Vic Galloway, featuring on both his Radio One and Radio Scotland shows and Podcasts respectively aswell as featuring on Tom Robinson (6music) and Jim Gellatly(Radio Scotland and Radio Magentic) Television aswell as Radio now beckons. A Korean TV Channel will be interviewing and filming the band play live in November for broadcast on national Korean Tv in Dec/Jan. In the meantime Thieves in Suits are busy preparing to record their debut album with Ross Macgowan at his studio in Glasgow, aswell as recording parts of it in an old converted 17th century mill in South Lanarkshire. Live shows are still booked for Oct/Nov, and the debut album looks set for a release sometime next year.
