TUNE Play Leaving by TC

This is purely acoustic, finger picked in the style of Richard Thompson or Tom Paxton, maybe a little Neil Young thrown in. Its a ballad, partly based on a real situation and real person - a little tribute I suppose, partly what someone told me, part fantasy. Its a little bit of a narrative ballad too - starting the story in the middle as it were, and then bringing you up-to-date. And like, say, Michael Stipe's lyric writing (when at his best), you get a refrain that refers to a specific incident or detail to represent the overall feelings and themes rather than a cheesy line to say I miss you!
