Bio
Xan Down South - every Friday at 7pm on Amazing Radio (DAB and online) repeated Sunday at 3pm Each show begins with a piece of natural sound from the south coast and then followed by the best music from the area that we've found on Amazing Tunes. And when we bump into these wonderful musicians we'll stick a mic in front of them and ask them to reveal more about themselves and what they record. We'll also play music from the rest of the country and our main feature is 'Tuesday No.1'. Not a celebration of the second day of the week, but a play of the song at number one in the Amazing Tunes chart on the previous Tuesday. On Amazing Radio it is all brand new music made popular by the people who use Amazing Tunes. Every Friday night at 7pm I'll be playing music from the UK's south coast in a show called Xan Down South. Influences
In radio it's the 4J's Jimmy Young, John Peel, Jonathan Ross, John Humphrys. In music there are a variety of reasons for picking these artist and in no particular order: Talking Heads, Devo, The Vapors, Nellie Dean, Brian Eno, The Clash, Jackson Analogue, Birdpen, Dlugokecki, Boe Weaver, Moontown, Jazica.
